Math 7 Enrichment-Week 1

Dear Math 7 Families,

I hope this email finds you well, healthy and safe. Students, I miss you terribly, and miss our time together in the classroom. I hope you are staying active and taking advantage of your time wisely.

As you know, math is a skill and requires practice. As per Dr. Milrod's request, we are not providing mandatory assignments, but enrichment, assignments for you to complete to stay sharp and strengthen your skills. My suggestion this week is to complete the CHECKPOINT assignments in the CPM resources.

Students master different skills at different speeds. No two students learn exactly the same way at the same time. At some point you will be expected to perform certain skills accurately. Most of the Checkpoint problems incorporate skills that you should have been developing in grades 5 and 6.

Starting in Chapter 1 and finishing in Chapter 9, there are 9 sets problems designed as Checkpoint problems. The practice sets are keyed to each of the Checkpoint problems in the textbook, one in each chapter. Each has the topic clearly labeled, followed by the answers to the corresponding Checkpoint problem and then some completed examples.  There are more problems for you to practice with answers included.  You can reach out to me at any time to ask questions about the
