Short week, busy week

Although there was no school on Monday, there is a lot going on this week.

Wednesday 9-19: Parents ONLY presentation at UMMS by Mr. John Halligan, 7pm

Thursday 9-20: Open House for parents of UMMS students

Pre Algebra this week:
-homework on Tuesday and Wednesday
-mid chapter 1 quiz next week

Algebra I this week:
-homework Tuesday and Wednesday
-mid chapter 1 quiz this week, Thursday 9-20, covering 1-1 to 1-5 lessons

2nd Week of School

As we continue with the second week of school, you should be getting used to the routine of being back. Although I myself know this can be difficult, it is becoming easier to do as each day passes.

Students will have homework on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week. Assignments should be written in the homework assignment book provided by UMMS. There will be no homework on Thursday or Friday due to Math 4 Sight Exams taken in class. These exams are to better track students progress throughout the year allow teachers to better understand strengths and weaknesses of classes.

Welcome back to school! I hope you are excited as I am to begin a new year and to continue learning algebraic concepts in 7th grade math. This year is going to be a new challenge for you, but you have to remember to keep up with your classwork, homework and organization in order to find success this year. Also, you are reminded to ALWAYS ask questions for clarification or if you do not understand something. You are welcome to ask during class, but can ALWAYS ask me or talk to me individually.

Again, I'm excited to get the school year started and look forward to getting to know each of you!
